We use established WebCrypto and audited libraries where available, but cryptographic tools are easy to misuse. Do not rely on any password generator, key generator, or encryption tool for high-stakes situations (financial accounts, journalistic source protection, life-safety) without expert review of the threat model and the implementation.

Loft Tools is operated from the United States. Tools may use U.S.-default conventions (units, date formats, tax rules, building codes, electrical standards) unless a tool offers a regional toggle. Some jurisdictions restrict the use of certain tools (for example, cryptography tools are subject to export-control rules in some countries). You are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
Our liability is limited as set out in section 11 of the Terms of Service. To summarise: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, our cumulative liability is capped at the greater of USD $50 or amounts you have paid us in the prior 12 months, and California-required carve-outs apply (we do not limit liability for gross negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct, or personal injury caused by our negligence).
Anything we say about future plans (a tool we intend to ship, an analytics provider we plan to integrate, a feature on our public roadmap) is a statement of intent, not a promise. Plans change. The roadmap and changelog reflect our current best estimate.
