Unlocking works on PDF 1.0 through 2.0 once you supply the correct password. RC4, AES-128 and AES-256 encryption are all supported.
Type the e-Aadhaar password, which UIDAI defines as the first 4 letters of your name in capitals followed by your year of birth (YYYY). For SURESH KUMAR born in 1990 that is SURE1990; for RIA born in 1990 it is RIA1990. The tool uses that password on your device to save an unlocked copy, and it cannot open the file without it.
